Meta VR Glasses and VR Porn: What We Know

Meta announced its VR Glasses at Meta Connect on 23 September 2026: a glasses-style VR headset with micro-OLED displays, tethered to a pocket compute puck. They cost $1,299.99 and go on sale in spring 2027.
They aren't out yet, so we can't test them — but enough is known to say what VR porn will be like on them.
Will Meta VR Glasses play VR porn?
Almost certainly. They run Horizon OS with the same store as Quest, and 64-bit Quest apps run on them — so the Quest VR video players (DeoVR, HereSphere, 4XVR, SKYBOX and others) should install. Controllers aren't included, so players that need them won't work until you add Touch Plus controllers.
They also have a web browser. Meta hasn't confirmed WebXR support yet, but it's the same OS as Quest, whose browser does support it.
The catch: a 70° field of view
The displays are excellent — 2412×2288 micro-OLED per eye with HDR, up to 120 Hz — but the field of view is about 70° wide, much narrower than a Quest. A 180° scene will feel more like looking through a large window than being surrounded, and you'll turn your head more. Picture quality in the centre should be superb.
